Door County Maritime Museum

Paul Schumacher, Board of Directors of Friends of Plum and Pilot Islands, talks about the restoration of Plum and Pilot Islands. Admission is free with a food donation.

A community open house highlighting the barge Advance project. Visitors get a chance to speak with archaeologists and volunteers, getting a firsthand look at still and video images, the site plan, and equipment associated with underwater surveys.

Todd Gordon presents a program about the SS Eastland disaster, which was the largest loss of life from a single shipwreck in Great Lakes’ history. Admission is free with a food donation.

Join Santa onboard the historic tugboat John Purves. Due to the size of the tug, only two adults can accompany each child. Adult museum admission includes Santa visit. Enjoy exhibits, games, storytelling, elf trivia, cookie decorating, crafts, & more.

Create a new holiday tradition by visiting the Door County Maritime Museum during the Merry-Time Festival of Trees to see beautiful holiday decorations scattered throughout the Museum. Guests can purchase raffle tickets for the opportunity to bring these magnificent decorations into their home. During the festive Jingle Mixer Gala, the winning raffle tickets will be drawn! Trees will be on display through the end of the festival.
