We’ve made your planning easy with this guide to getting active with 2023 Door County runs and rides to check out. If you want plan to take on many runs, consider signing up for the Run the Door race series.

Door County has become a hotbed for silent sports competition and experiences. Whether you want to test yourself in a 5k, step up to a half marathon, or push yourself to tackle a swim, bike and run for 70 combined miles, you can find your challenge on the Door Peninsula.

May 6
Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k
Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek
13.1 mile run, 5k
Hailed as one of the best runs in the Midwest, the 15th annual Door County Half Marathon includes “13.1 of the most scenic miles you’ll ever run,” according to Jenny Hadfield of Runner’s World. Enjoy a USATF-certified closed road course that takes you along the shore, through the woods, and atop the bluffs of Peninsula State Park. Finish with beer and friends at Nicolet Bay.

May 13
Blossom Run, Egg Harbor
Back in person at Harbor View Park in Egg Harbor, choose from a two-mile run/walk or a five-mile run, and for participants 12 and younger, they can compete in a one-mile event. Participants receive a FREE t-shirt while supplies last. Race-day registration will also be available from 7:00 am – 8:00 am.

Jacksonport Lake to Lake 10K, 2 Mile, Jacksonport
10k run and 2 mile fun run

June 17
Peninsula Century Spring Classic, Baileys Harbor
100, 62, 50, and 25-mile bicycle rides through rural countryside and shoreline vistas of northern Door County, ending with life music and a buffet from Thyme Cuisine.

June 17
Crossroads Trail Run, Sturgeon Bay
10k, 5k, and 2k trail run through the woods, meadows, and orchards in and around Crossroads at Big Creek.

July 4
Hairpin Run, Fish Creek
5k run/walk to kick off the 4th of July celebration. Door County’s largest 5k run.

Belgian Days Run, Brussels
Sponsored by the Brussels Union Emergency Medical Responders, Inc., kick off Brussels Belgian Days with a 2-mile, 4-mile run/walk through the community. Contact Jody Griep at 920-493-4064 or [email protected]

Sept. 23
Door County Brewing Co. Hey Hey 5k, Baileys Harbor
5k fun run in Baileys Harbor that starts and ends at the Door County Brewing Co. taproom. Get great swag including a pint glass, free beer, and awesome shirt!

Oct. 7
Potawatomi State Park Run Wild, Sturgeon Bay
Quarter marathon, 5k run/walk, and 1/3-mile Smokey Bear Run

Oct. 21
Fall 50, Gills Rock
50-mile solo and relay run from the tip of the peninsula at Gills Rock to the base at Sawyer Park in Sturgeon Bay. Includes prizes for best team name and costume, and a huge post-race party with pizza and beer.

Nov. 25
One Barrel 2.62 Run, Egg Harbor
A 2.62-mile run through Egg Harbor’s back roads. All runners get a One Barrel Run hooded sweatshirt and a beer at the finish line!
