Leo is cuddly and social, showing how much he was loved in his former household. This handsome dark orange tabby is neutered, current on vaccinations, and had all four sets of claws removed. Leo was born on July 9, 2009 but had to be surrendered due to moving/financial problems. If you’d like a cat with “low mileage” and completely comfortable with family routine, then Leo is your guy.

This medium size girl is Shelby, a seven-year-old Lab/Husky mix. A Sturgeon Bay family who could no longer afford a pet surrendered Shelby; she has been at the shelter since Memorial Day weekend. Shy Shelby would like potential adopters to know that she is happy to meet you, but at first she may bark a bit and be a little reserved. A nice leash walk around the shelter trails is a good icebreaker, and Shelby loves to be outside. One of her most favorite things in the world is a car ride, and she is a little lady sitting in the back seat. Shelby is spayed and current with vaccinations.

Adoption costs are $85 for cats and kittens, $125 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. All animals are vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Dogs have had a behavioral assessment.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD)
in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.doorcountyhumanesociety.org.
