Annabel

Annabel and Louie… not a folk music duo, but two companion animals who were previously pets that found shelter and safety at the Door County Humane Society.

Annabel’s emerald-colored eyes are the first things to notice, but look more closely, all four feet are declawed so she has no defense outdoors. A seven to eight-year-old tabby & white shorthair, Annabel was a stray from the City of Sturgeon Bay who arrived the week before Christmas 2012.

Louie is also a stray, but a more recent arrival at DCHS. He’s a playful and outgoing one to two-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound who knows commands like “sit” and “shake hands.” Louie was found west of Highway 42 in the Town of Sevastopol.
