Question: Look closely…where in Door County is this located?
Last Week’s Question: Ephraim celebrates Fyr Bal on June 15. What does Fyr Bal mean; from what language does it come from?
Answer: Fyr Bal is Norwegian for ‘bonfire.’ The festival re-creates customs of early Norwegians celebrating midsummer’s eve. Bonfires represent the burning of the ‘winter witch’ and welcome the summer solstice.
