Maggie and Bella

A change in their owner’s lifestyle meant an upheaval for 10-year-old Papillon mix Maggie, and her best friend, 3-year-old Pekingese mix Bella. Surrendered to the Door County Humane Society in early February, these two are quite the pair as they are walked up and down the shelter corridors (it’s too frosty for tiny dogs to be outside). Bella and Maggie are inseparable, conferring with each other about the people they meet on the daily strolls. They are social but with a bit of that sassy attitude that says, “I’m really impressively large inside.” Meeting new people is one of their most favorite things. Is this the right duo for your household? Adoption forms may be downloaded from our website.

Cat adoption fee is $90; dog adoption fee is $150.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.
