“Bustopher Jones is not skin and bones —
In fact, he’s remarkably fat.” ~ T. S. Eliot

Yes, T. S. Eliot, the Door County Humane Society has several “Bustopher” cats at the shelter. When our larger cats find their forever homes, they will benefit from the additional room to move and exercise. As an encouragement, the adoption fee has been halved to only $45 for cats Midnight, Percy, Tess, Devinci, April, Washington, Parcheesi, Orson, and Ocarina. Each is affectionate, several are declawed, and there is a wide range of ages available.

The DCHS staff will be happy to discuss nutritional guidelines and make feeding recommendations. Cat profiles may be found on the dooranimals.com website or the DCHS Facebook page.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.

All dogs and their owners are invited to Bark by the Bay on Aug. 23 at Martin Park, Sturgeon Bay. Registration is $25. Check-in begins at 9 am, and the walk starts at 10 am.
