A Christmas Opry in Door County

In the spirit of the old time Opry radio shows, when families would gather round the big RCA and listen to their favorite country stars perform on the Opry stage in front of a live audience, Door Jam Productions presents a Christmas Opry in Door County.

Baileys Harbor will be hosting an exciting evening of holiday cheer in the form of live music, entertainment and holiday shopping on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be none other than Door County’s own Storyman Lloyd Michalsen. Performances include bluegrass tunes by local family band Fairland, Cajun music by Envie, assorted country and folk music by special guests Pat Smits, Ken Pollock, and David Hatch, along with a reunion performance by Storyman Lloyd and Sara Linton.

And of course, there will be Christmas music throughout the evening by all the performers. The doors will be open at 6 pm so come early and shop for some great stocking stuffers available from local businesses like Novel Ideas, Bob McCurdy’s Woodcarvings, Nancy’s Craft boxes and much more. Cookies and cider will be available from the local scout troop.
