‘Artists Explore the Richter Collection’ at UW-GB’s Lawton Gallery

UW-Green Bay’s Lawton Gallery is presenting Museum of Natural Inspiration: Artists Explore the Richter Collection, a collaborative exhibit with the Richter Museum of Natural History in which artists have created artwork inspired by the Richter’s specimen collection. These specimens will be displayed alongside the artwork they’ve inspired in a true partnership of art and science.

“Sculpted Glass Birds Encased in Sand Cast Glass” by Stephanie Trenchard.

Door County artists whose work appears in the exhibit include Rebecca Carlton of Juddville Clay Studio Gallery, Dan Cross of Idea Gallery, Jeremy Popelka and Stephanie Trenchard of Popelka Trenchard Glass, and Kendra Bulgrin of James May Gallery.

The exhibit will run through Oct. 3, Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 3 pm, at the Lawton Gallery in UW-Green Bay’s Theatre Hall building, Room 230. All Lawton Gallery events are free and open to the public. To learn more or discuss disability accommodations, email Emma Hitzman at [email protected] or visit uwgb.edu/lawton.
