‘Big Bundle Up’ Campaign Continues in 2018

Door County’s tourism industry is collecting new and gently used coats, scarves, hats, mittens and other warm clothing items as part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s “Big Bundle Up” donation campaign. The campaign is a statewide collection program that runs from Nov. 15 to Jan. 2, 2019. All items donated locally will stay in Door County and be distributed throughout the county.

Eleven different tourism organizations in Door County will participate. Participating organizations include: Door County Visitor Bureau (DCVB), Baileys Harbor Community Association, Carlsville Business Association, Door County North, Egg Harbor Business Association, Ephraim Business Council, Fish Creek Civic Association, Jacksonport Area Business Association, Sister Bay Advancement Association, Southern Door Business Association and the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center.

A container is at participating locations for donors to drop off new or gently used clothing items. Jen Rogers, communications and PR manager for the DCVB, is co-organizing the drive with Cambria Mueller, marketing manager for the DCVB. Mueller has been working with each community coordinator for the past year and is excited to be part of the campaign.

Questions can be directed to Rogers or Mueller at 920.743.4456 or [email protected].
