Bonnie Braes Women’s League Supports Rally for the Cure & Door Cancer

Bonnie Braes Women’s League at Maxwelton Braes Golf Course in Baileys Harbor hosted an 18-hole, par three event for league members and invited guests on Sept. 9. Twenty-three women participated raising $460 for Rally for the Cure and $230 for Door Cancer of Door County.

Rally for the Cure emphasizes the importance of early detection for the successful treatment of breast cancer. Each year breast cancer is the leading cause of death for women ages 35 – 54 and the disease accounts for more than 75 percent of all cancer deaths in women 55 years of age and older.

Bonnie Braes also wanted to support Door Cancer so that cancer patients who cannot always afford treatment can get medications from donations from individuals and groups.
