Boys & Girls Club Moves Under One Roof

Starting in September, all members attending the Boys & Girls Club of Door County (BGCDC) will come to the David G. Hatch Center located at 55 S. Third Ave., Sturgeon Bay. During the past seven years, the Club operated an additional site at Sawyer Elementary School. With renovation complete at their main building, the Board of Directors decided that hosting members solely at the Hatch Center would provide every child a more authentic Club experience.

“Our Club is committed to delivering high-quality programming and services,” said BGCDC Executive Director Julie Davis. “We are excited to be providing access for every child, kindergarten through high school, to our STEAM Lab, music recording room, and our arts rooms. We believe this will ensure each child an optimal club experience. This change is also part of our commitment to continuous improvement and demonstrating our impact to stakeholders.”

The Club is open to any child and is supported locally through individual and corporate donations, grants and foundation gifts. Only four percent of the Club’s budget is supported through government grants. Tours are available by calling 920.818.1046.
