Canterbury Cinema Series Begins at Saint Luke’s

The Canterbury Cinema Series began at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church on Canterbury Lane in Sister Bay on Sept. 24.

Movies are screened every second Tuesday at 1:30 pm. The next movie in the series is In a Better World, scheduled for Oct. 8. This movie (Rated R) tells the story bullied Elias who finds solace in a budding friendship with a volatile new student. However, the boys’ shared revenge only seems to invite more violence in this drama about the interplay between two dysfunctional families. This movie was awarded the 2011 Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.

Upcoming films are What’s Cooking? (Nov. 12), Gran Torino (Jan. 7), Bed of Roses (Feb. 11) and The Visitor (May 12). Admission is free and the public is welcome.
