Collector’s Choice Benefit, Community Mosaic at Hardy Gallery

The Hardy Gallery’s annual Collection Invitational & Collector’s Choice Benefit will open July 16 and remain on view until Aug. 28, with an opening reception planned for July 15, 5:30-7 pm.

This exhibit features two works from each invited artist. One of them is donated to the gallery’s silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Hardy Gallery’s operation and programming funds. The second piece is similar in theme to the donated piece and is marked for sale at the artist’s request. This exhibit, featuring the work of 40 Door County artists, is the gallery’s largest annual fundraising event.

The Hardy Gallery’s annual Community Mosaic Project – part of an initiative to engage and enrich the public as well as raise funds – will be unveiled July 16. The finished canvases are displayed together on a mosaic wall to create a one-of-a-kind tapestry of art. The canvases are available for purchase from the gallery – as a “blind buy,” in which buyers do not know which mosaic canvas they will receive – by phone, mail or email at $30 each.
