Collector’s Choice Benefit

Also on display at the Hardy Gallery is the “2008 Collection Invitational.” In conjunction with the exhibit is the “Collector’s Choice Benefit,” a fundraiser for the center’s local, educational programs in the arts, including Art Camp, Sample the Arts, the Art Therapy Program, the Door County Festival of the Arts and the organization’s newest outreach program, ETC – an Arts Mentorship Program linking creative professionals to high school youth.

Every year the Hardy’s collection invitational exhibit presents works of art by established regional artists. This year 42 participating artists have contributed two works of art, one for display and one a donation; the donated works are prominently displayed and featured in a silent auction. During the month-long event, visitors and residents can view and place bids on the artwork.

The exhibit is open free to the public and will be on display through Sept. 1. Bidding will conclude at noon on Sept. 1.
