Congratulations Doug Blahnik

A secret to our dear readers
I now promptly shall leak,
Doug is a “server of history”
In our hamlet called Fish Creek.
An elementary teacher,
With social studies his passion,
Now shares for all our rich past
In a most believable fashion.
His research is so focused,
His characters in great depth.
He’s brought back Robert Noble,
As well as Scheunemann and Rouseff.*
Doug becomes quite nostalgic,
While viewing town from Noble’s rock ledge.
Says, when new construction replaces old,
It’s like razing part of our heritage.
So as thousands turn this corner,
Seeking a room, a beverage or some grub,
Doug beams with a smile and says,
“Welcome to Fish Creek’s historic hub.”
