Country House Resort Wins Defibrillator from Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Department

The Country House Resort was the lucky winner of a LifePak CR Plus defibrillator from the Sister Bay & Liberty Grove Fire Department’s Community CPR program. The defibrillator, valued at more than $1,500, was recently presented to Sheryl Zaug Casey after her name was drawn from more than 150 participants in the program.

The defibrillator giveaway program, the idea of firefighter/first responder Ned Larson, targeted Northern Door businesses and residents and encouraged them to participate in a community CPR class in Sister Bay. More than 150 individuals participated from Jan. 1 to July 1 and were eligible to have their name drawn to win a new defibrillator to award to the business of their choice.

In an effort to meet local needs and with the support of the Town of Liberty Grove and the Village of Sister Bay, the Sister Bay & Liberty Grove Fire Department established a community-based CPR training program in 2014. If interested in the training program, call the department at 920.854.4021.
