Crossroads’ Next Pluto Club to Focus on Stars

“Stars” will be the topic for the November meeting of the Pluto Club at Crossroads at Big Creek. This informal group is Crossroads’ way of introducing very small (like Pluto) learners to the basic concepts of astronomy. Programs are developed for children, ages 5- 8, but are open to siblings and all learners. Pluto Club meets at 2 pm on Nov. 7 in the lower level learning space at the Collins Learning Center. The program lasts about 45 minutes, and are free and open to the public.

Late fall is particularly lovely in a mixed hardwood forest. Join the naturalist for a Sunday ramble through Ida Bay Preserve on Nov. 8 at 11 am. Meet at the Zenith Street Gate. The hike lasts about an hour, and is free and open to the public.

Crossroads is a donor-supported preserve welcoming learners of all ages (and sizes) to programs in science, history and the environment. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2 – 4:30 pm daily and during scheduled events. For more information visit crossroadsatbigcreek.com.
