DCHH Hold Groundbreaking for 42nd Home Build

Door County Habitat for Humanity (DCHH) will celebrate the start of its 42nd home build with a ceremonial groundbreaking on April 16, 4:30 pm, at 819 N. 6th Place in Sturgeon Bay. The home will be built in partnership with Kari and Paul Bright and their family. The public is invited to see the house’s location and find out more about DCHH partnership.

Volunteers typically build on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the spring and summer, with the goal to finish the home by mid-October. The family will be working alongside the volunteers because each adult must contribute 200 hours of volunteer time at the build, in the ReStore or helping with fundraising events. Once the home is completed, the family will purchase it from DCHH with a zero-percent-interest mortgage. New volunteers are always welcome! Call Megan at 920.743.2869, ext. 101, to get involved.
