DCHS Celebrates Vintage Day at Heritage Village

Join the Door County Historical Society to celebrate its annual Vintage Day on Sept. 7, 10 am – 3 pm, at the Heritage Village at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. 

All foods and activities have been scheduled with “vintage” in mind: Costumed interpreters will engage guests in schoolhouse lessons; a wonderful group from Oneida will teach guests how to make corn-husk dolls; the Cherryland A’s will showcase their vintage cars; the Madden Tool Museum will be open; and try your hand at elementary blacksmithing with our onsite blacksmiths and leave with either an S hook or a leaf. Guests should wear cotton clothing and closed-toed shoes and are encouraged to have safety glasses. Member admission is free; guest adult admission is $6.50. Food will be available for purchase.
