Door County Arts: Fine Line Designs Gallery Announces “Season’s Change” Exhibit

“Birch in Yellow and Red” by Martha Fieber.

As Door County’s own transformation from summer to fall occurs, Ephraim’s Fine Line Designs Gallery announces a new exhibit heralding the changing of the season. Simply titled “Season’s Change,” it is a show that represents, through both ideas and images, the changing landscapes of the Midwest through all four seasons. The exhibit will open at Fine Line on Friday, September 26 and run through Friday, October 31.

“The exhibit was conceived to feature an artist’s perspective on their favorite season, or a particular subject that identifies with their favorite season,” says Shari Gransee, gallery manager at Fine Line Designs. “It promises to be a wonderful, diverse show – full of many different mediums.”

Participating artists include Martha Fieber, John Schneider, Lori Beringer, Paul Klein, and others. Fiber artist Fieber switched to art after a successful career in engineering. As a result, her pieces are rich in texture, technique, pattern, and detail. Schneider, an oil painter, paints “everyday places” that allow the viewer to complete the painting based on their own experiences. Beringer, also an oil painter, is known for her energetic and joyous landscapes, portraits, and still-lifes. Mixed media artist Paul Klein finds his inspiration in nature – and uses this energy to combine stone, copper, and his own handmade papers to create his works of art.

Fine Line Designs Gallery and Sculpture Garden is located on Highway 42 in north Ephraim and is open daily from 10 am – 6 pm and on Sundays from 10 am – 5 pm. For more information call 920.854.4343 or visit http://www.finelinedesignsgallery.com.
