Door County Auditorium Announces 2010 Lineup

In 2010, the Door Community Auditorium will celebrate its 20th year with one of its most ambitious and diverse lineups to date. Between mid-May and late November of 2010, the auditorium will present over a dozen shows, ranging from the cutting-edge country of roots-rock band Mountain Heart (June 20) to the vibrant Mexican fusion of Los Lobos (July 23) to the pure soprano of folk icon Joan Baez (July 16).

The season, which was programmed by former auditorium executive director Terry Meyer Matier, showcases a combination of long-established performers, like Washington Island songwriter Julian Hagen (July 10), and up-and-coming talent, like fiery vocalist and rising star Brandi Carlile (August 22). Legendary songwriter John Hiatt will perform on July 5; the electrifying Celtic band Gaelic Storm will take the stage August 15; and the Three Redneck Tenors will take the crowd on a rollicking musical adventure on September 5. Other highlights of the season include world-famous impersonator Rich Little (May 30), instrumental virtuosos Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Edgar Meyer (June 29), Pink Floyd tribute band The Machine (July 31), and perennial auditorium favorites The Lettermen (who will perform a Christmas show on November 26).

The Door Community Auditorium is located along Highway 42 in Fish Creek, next to Gibraltar School. Tickets range from $15 to $65 can be purchased over the phone at 920.868.2728 or online at http://www.dcauditorium.org.
