Door County Baseball League Begins with New Managers and Officers

The 2016 Door County Baseball League opens this weekend, with some new faces in place as officers and managers. Officers for this season are Rick Gigot, president; Dennis Krishka, vice president; Skip Kaeske, secretary/treasurer; and Roger Van Lanen, umpire chief. New managers are Shannon Wautier, Baileys Harbor; Jake Junion, Egg Harbor; and Joey Cornell, Washington Island.

The 2016 Hall of Fame induction banquet will be held May 7. Congratulations to the following inductees: Pete Wickman, Maplewood; Mark Woerfel, Sister Bay and Washington Island; Jeff Paschke, Egg Harbor; Dean DeBroux, Kolberg; Steve Whipperfurth, Kolberg, Maplewood and Institute; Tom Anderson, Baileys Harbor; Mike Jorgensen, Washington Island; Lenny Atkins, Institute and Washington Island; John Sawyer, Egg Harbor, Baileys Harbor and Sister Bay; and Donald “Bucky” Honold will receive the Achievement Award.
