Door County Buy Local Scheduled More Business Mixers

• Elections will be held on April 1, 2014, for three Sturgeon Bay School Board positions. Terms of office expire for three incumbents on April 16, 2014 – John Hauser, Joel Kitchens and Tina Jennerjohn. Declarations of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Statements are available in the school district office at 1230 Michigan St. during regular school hours. The Declarations of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Statements must be filed in the district office no later than 5 pm Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2014.

• Door County Buy Local has scheduled its next round of business mixers. On the first Wednesday of each month, Buy Local will host a networking and educational event at a location in Door County. Events start at 5:30 pm with social time, refreshments and appetizers. From 6 to 7 pm, a business meeting and program will take place, which will include updates on the Buy Local programs. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the Buy Local mixer topic is “Productivity, Communication & Technology.” The event will be held at the US Cellular store at 1424 Egg Harbor Road in Sturgeon Bay. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, the mixer will be themed “Festival of Trees” and held at the Door County Maritime Museum at 120 North Madison Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.
