Door County Film ‘The Emissary’ Screened at Threshold in Madison

The Emissary, a movie that was selected to open the 2015 Green Bay Film Festival, will play at Threshold in Madison on Jan. 13 at 6 pm.

The Emissary is a comical, family-friendly science fiction quest shot in Door County. Mindfulness matters in a race to find a time bomb from outer space.

“What do the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Door County cheese curds and space colonization have in common? They’re all included in the playful indie sci-fi movie The Emissary…[Director Tim Erskine] (a mechanical engineer) made a lot of calculations to make the sci-fi as authentic as could be,” said Dr. John Beck of the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society.

Enjoy popcorn and tea and meet director Tim Erskine and co-creator Holly Erskine. Join a conversation about using humor, science, and art to imagine a more positive future. The cost is $10. For more information visit nightskyventures.com.
