Door County Humane Society Featured Pets

With all the scampering kittens at the Door County Humane Society right now, there are hidden treasures that are being overlooked, including Crinkle and Ruby.

Crinkle is a gentle lady cat who should have been home long ago. She’s a spayed, female, brown tabby, one to two years old, and her endearing appearance is the result of frostbite claiming her ears. Crinkle is free in the lobby, so we know she is good with other cats and all manner of shelter visitors. Adoption cost is $85.

And there is Ruby, a roly-poly, older, beagle girl who was found tied to a mailbox in Sevastopol. Do you like to go out for a stroll several times a day? Then Ruby is the girl for you – she is a docile dog and will benefit from the exercise.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD) in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption on Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat., and Sun. from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.dooranimals.com.

Also, Shopping Day for the Shelter will take place Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Piggly Wiggly in Sister Bay from 10 am – 1 pm.
