What Makes A Local Producer?

We’ve refined our criteria and broken the Door County Local Producers list into separate segments.We hope you find that this new list makes more sense, is easier to follow, and is a more accurate portrayal of our local food scene.

The first is Local Food Producers. This segment includes those people and businesses located on the Door Peninsula who grow and raise food for sale to consumers, restaurants, grocery stores, and wholesalers, regardless of size.

The second segment is Locally Produced Food and Beverage Products. This segment includes those people and businesses located on the Door Peninsula who make food and beverage products here in Door and Kewaunee counties. The products do not need to include materials grown or raised here, but must be produced by a company or person based in Door or Kewaunee counties.

The listings include only those products grown and produced by the business, though many have additional products for sale. If you feel your business should be included, please email us at [email protected].
