Door County Outdoor Painters to Paint Local Lighthouses

Door County Outdoor Painters drew interested viewers on July 20 with their plein air paintings at the shore of Eagle Harbor at the Ephraim Firehouse Dock. Efforts to capture the tranquility of the early morning calm and the anchored sailboats proved fruitful.

The Door County Outdoor Painters will continue their ongoing efforts to paint the 11 lighthouses on the peninsula with stops at the Coast Guard Lighthouses on the canal and the Sherwood Point Lighthouse of Sturgeon Bay within the next two weeks. An exhibition of the lighthouse paintings will be featured locally upon completion.
