Door County Triathlon Opens Registration

Registration for the 2011 Door County Triathlon opened at 12:01 am on New Year’s Day. The two-day event will once again feature a Sprint Distance Race on Saturday, July 16 and a Half Iron Race on Sunday, July 17. The public may register as an individual or as a member of a relay team for either event.

The physical size of Murphy Park forces the organizers to limit participation to 1,000 individuals in each event. The Sprint Distance event sold out each of the past two years and the Half Iron reached 95 percent capacity in 2010. Both events are expected to sell out quickly this year. Early registration is encouraged.
