Door County Veterans Service Council Receives Donation from Zion Hymn Sings

Bruce Frudden (left), chair of the Missions Committee at Zion United Methodist Church, presents a check for $1,652 to Joe Heilman, chair of the Door County Veterans Service Council. The donation came from Zion’s Sept. 3 Hymn Sing, plus $200 from the Ken Beausang Memorial Fund. Since 2002, the twice-annual hymn sings have raised more than $31,000 for local nonprofits. The contribution to veterans’ services is the most ever given at a single hymn sing.
