Door to Down Under on Display

An exhibition of oil paintings and selected journal sketches spanning six years of travel by artist Cheryl Stidwell Parker will be on display in the Sister Bay Library May 1 – June 12.

Dividing her time between Door County and the coastal hinterlands of New South Wales, Parker has a collection of paintings representing flora and fauna in both Door County and her home in Australia. Included are several plein air alla prima works of Baileys Harbor and other studio paintings based on photographs, drawings, some employing collage and mixed media.

Parker has exhibited throughout the peninsula, currently at the Paint Box Gallery in Ephraim and the Door County Art League Gallery in the Top of the Hill Shops in Fish Creek. For more information call 920.854.2721.
