Dr. Filar to Make Sense of Macular Degeneration at Community Health Program

Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry continues the Community Health Information Programs with “Making Sense of Macular Degeneration” on Aug. 21 at 4 pm at First Baptist Church, Sister Bay. This month’s speaker is Dr. Paul Filar of Peninsula Vision Care. Macular degeneration is a common eye condition and a leading cause of vision loss among people ages 50 and older. Dr. Filar will take away some of the mysteries surrounding macular degeneration and discuss options for prevention.

Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry offers free blood pressure screenings beginning at 5 pm at the monthly Loaves & Fishes Meal on the fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Rosalia Church, and 8:15 – 10:15 am on the second Tuesday of the month at the YMCA in Fish Creek.
