Eagles Head Wrestling Coach Resigns

Southern Door head varsity wrestling coach Jerry Englebert is stepping down after 12 years in the position.

The district’s school board last week accepted Englebert’s resignation, which is effective as of the start of the 2024-25 school year. Southern Door is now advertising to fill the varsity wrestling coaching position.

The Eagles last week closed out the varsity wrestling season at the WIAA individual state wrestling tournament, in which three girls and a boy from Southern Door qualified.
