Effects of Marijuana

A study monitoring 3,725 teenage marijuana users until they reached 30 years of age found that 60 percent of them were less likely to finish high school than their non-using peers. Investigators also found clear links to suicide attempts, illicit use of drugs, and marijuana dependency by members of the group. The findings are in keeping with a number of other studies that show permanent brain changes in adolescents who are heavy marijuana users.
