He has served as Wisconsin attorney general since 2015. Before that he was Waukesha County district attorney, 2007-2015.

Former federal prosecutor in Baltimore; law clerk to Judge Michael Boudin, who was then the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in economics and history, Yale University; law degree, Stanford Law School, president of the

Stanford Law Review.
