Energy Conservation Fair and Fall Flea Market

On October 21 and 22, the Women’s Employment Project’s Second Annual Energy Conservation Fair and Fall Flea Market will take place at the Cherry Point Mall in Sturgeon Bay. The event will run from 8 am – 5:30 pm on October 21 and 8 am – 2 pm on October 22.

Women’s Employment Project is a non-profit, community based organization, which serves Door and Kewaunee County residents with energy assistance and weatherization services for low-income families. The organization also serves as the lead agency for the Door County Job Center, helping individuals find employment through many employment programs.

The purpose of the Energy Conservation Fair is to raise the awareness of community residents on energy services, conservation methods, and the programs available to improve energy conservation.

The Fall Flea Market will put the theme “Reduce-Reuse-Recycle” into practice. Sellers can reduce their inventory or sell personal items that buyers can reuse at a bargain price.

The market offers an ideal space to sell items. Those who have arts, crafts, or household items are welcome to register for a space.

One hundred square-foot spaces cost $15 per day; eight-foot tables cost $10 per day. Inside and outside spaces are available.
