7am. Birding 101. Take to the trails in search of spring migrants. Sarah and Bill, amateur ornithologists, will share their enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge in this easy paced hike. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. All experience levels welcome. Meet at the Nature Center, Lot 1. Free.
10am. Herb Hike. Led by Dave LaLuzerne, this walk will explore the herbs in our local environment. Learn how the plants that flourish in this climate can help you flourish as well. Meet at the Nature Center, Lot 1. Free.
1pm. Primitive Fire Making. Ken Foszcz will share his knowledge and techniques in learning how to use a bow drill, flint and steel and magnifying glass to start a campfire. Meet at the shelter building, parking lot 3. Free.
