Door County Reads Kick Off Celebration

This year’s book is “American Dervish” by Ayad Akhtar. Alan Kopischke will be Master of Ceremonies. Rev. Dr. Matthew R. Knapp, Sr., Adjunct Assistant Professor of Master of Theological Studies at St. Norbert College, and Senior Pastor at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church will be the speaker. Contributing poetry will be Ralph Murre, Poet Laureate of Door County. Andria Nikoupolis-Weliky of Andria’s Dancin’ on the Door School of Dance will provide dance and music. There will also be traditional Pakistani snacks and treats for everyone to enjoy.
