Fall 50 Relay Sells Out in Record Time

In yet another testament to the growing popularity of silent sports on the Door Peninsula, the Fall 50 relay sold out April 15, just two weeks after registration opened. Registration for the solo portion of the event is already one third full.

The relay event was limited to 400 pairs or teams. The 50-mile race starts near the Shoreline Restaurant in Gills Rock and ends at Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay.

More than 70 solo runners have registered for the race, won by Zach Bitter in 2011, who posted the fastest 50-mile time in the U.S. last year.
