Funds For AED Donated In Memory Of Island Resident

Before the July 23 Door County League baseball game, Jay Kita, coach of the Gibraltar/Washington Island Vikings baseball team, presented a check for $1,500 to the Islanders team in memory of Bradley Jordan, a young Washington Island resident who died in a motorcycle accident July 9 near Baileys Harbor. The funds will go toward purchasing an AED defibrillator for the ballpark. The team raised money to support this and other AED campaigns.

After the game, the Islanders team posed with some of Jordan’s family members. Special Islander T-shirts with his “Hey, hi, how are ya?” quote are being sold in his memory, along with other items, with the proceeds going to a memorial fund.
