Gibraltar 6th Grade Girls Participated in State Tournament

The Gibraltar 6th grade girls basketball team participated in the Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament in Merrill, Wausau and Marathon, Wis., on February 27 and 28. The tournament brought together 85 of the top community-based 6th grade girls basketball teams from across the State of Wisconsin.

The Gibraltar team, coached by Don Helm, finished in 20th place. The results of Gibraltar’s six games in the Small Division were as follows:

Neillsville 25 v. Gibraltar 24

St. Croix Central 33 v. Gibraltar 28

Marshall defeated Algoma 51-30 to win the Small Division Championship.
