Guided Hikes at Crossroads at Big Creek

Guided hikes will be offered this week at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay.

On June 24 at 1 pm, join the naturalist Joel Kaminski for a walking tour of the original Crossroads Preserve. The hike will last about an hour, and is free and open to the public. Hikers should meet at the Collins Learning Center.

On June 25 at 10 am, join Kaminski for a walking tour of the Ida Bay Preserve. This hike will also last an hour, is free and open to the public. Hikers should meet at the parking lot at the intersection of Canal Road and Buffalo Ridge Trail.

Crossroads at Big Creek is a community-supported preserve welcoming learners of all ages to programs in science, history and the environment. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan St., is open 1 – 3 pm daily and during scheduled events. During construction, to reach the center, take the highway detour to County T (Alabama Street) cross the highway to Big Creek Road and turn right. Proceed to Lily Bay Road and turn right.
