Inaugural Donna Winter Film Fest Begins Jan. 4

Beginning in 1949 with the showing of King Solomon’s Mines through its closing in 1990s, the Donna Theatre provided movies and memories for thousands of Door County residents and visitors.

To honor this heritage of movies in downtown Sturgeon Bay, Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will present the first annual Donna Winter Film Festival, running Jan. 4 – March 22. On selected Saturday Evenings and Sunday afternoons, TAP will present a selection of different films representing various genres. Movies include: Jurassic Park (Jan. 4), ET (Jan. 12), To Kill A Mockingbird (Jan. 18), Back to the Future (Jan. 26), Pretty Woman (Feb. 8), Dr. No (March 15), Goldfinger (March 16), and Bonnie and Clyde (Mar. 22).

Each movie will include a cartoon and other surprises, and will be shown on Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Donations gratefully accepted for admission. Sponsorships are available. For more information call Mary Collins at 920.743.1760.
