Independence Day Opening

Painting by Brian Pier.

On July 4, 3 – 7 pm, Brian Pier invites the community to the first opening at Whispering Pines Studio & Gallery. He looks forward to meeting new guests in his Door County gallery. A large representation of his body of work will be on display, including numerous Door County originals. There will be refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.

Pier, a Wisconsin native, is primarily self-taught, but strongly influenced by many of the 19th and early 20th century masters. He studies and paints everyday, working in oils of a limited palette. His passion is painting in plein air and he continually finds drama in the landscapes and people that he paints.

Pier has exhibited in Manhattan and in 2013, was invited to Florence, Italy where he was represented for one year. Recent credits include a second, as well as a fourth, place award in the category of impressionist landscapes at the American Art Awards in Hollywood in 2014. His painting, “Winter On Michigan Avenue,” which took fourth place honors, can be seen in his Egg Harbor gallery.

Whispering Pines Studio & Gallery (together with Forever Grateful Resale Boutique) is located at 6713 Hwy. 42 in Egg Harbor. It is one lot north of Touch Of Class Salon in the Lautenbach Storage complex. For more information call 920.868.2253.
