Jacksonport Historical Society’s Annual Dinner Meeting

On Wednesday, July 28, the Jacksonport Historical Society’s Annual Dinner Meeting will feature Leslie Bellais, Curator of Costume & Textiles at the Wisconsin Historical Society. The dinner, taking place at 6 pm at Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grille located at 590 Highway 57 in Jacksonport, is open to the public.

Bellais’s presentation, “From Bonnet to Hats, 1830 – 1930,” will explore the reasons for the change from bonnets to hats, while examining the stylistic changes over time. She will illustrate her presentation with bonnets and hats from the society’s collection and reproductions for audience members to model.

The event will feature a silent auction with items from local businesses, including a Green Bay Packers football signed by players and coaches of the 2009-10 season, and a raffle of vintage money bag purses. Participants must be present to win.

Jacksonport Historical Society can only accept checks or cash for the raffle, silent auction, and the dinner. All items for the silent auction are to be paid for the night of the event. All proceeds from the event will benefit Jacksonport Historical Society Museum.

Tickets for the event are $24 each. Send your reservations to:
