Jason Feldman to Share Gardening Tips and Tricks

The Door County Master Gardeners Association will present “Tools, Tricks, Tried and True” on March 7 at 7 pm at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. This program is free and open to the public. Jason Feldman, of Jason Feldman Landscapes LLC, will share some of the tools he uses that make gardening easier, tricks he and his staff have learned, and also some things that we should be practicing as gardeners. He notes that his thoughts and words may come in conflict with ideas and practices we have been using in our gardens for many years. He welcomes questions.

Feldman, owner and lead designer for Jason Feldman Landscapes LLC, has been involved in horticulture since childhood. His business is entering its sixth season in Door County. He has redesigned and installed the Sturgeon Bay Library plantings, the prairie section and native plantings of the new YMCA park, and the spiritual campus of Hope Church.

On March 6, 3 – 5 pm, Crossroads will host an informational meeting with the Door County Planning Department about shoreland zoning. They will discuss regulatory provisions for wetlands, shoreline standards, permits and mitigation. Members of the Resource Planning Committee and the Door County Board of Adjustment will be on hand. This educational meeting is open to the public.
