Job Center Offers Fair & Workshops

Are you seeking employment or looking for a career change? If so, then the Job Center’s Job Fair is your answer. The fair will take place at the Cherry Point Mall, 1300 Egg Harbor Road in Sturgeon Bay on Sept. 17 from 2 – 6 pm.

Expect to meet employers with current and/or future job openings, speak directly with employer representatives, and explore interactive informational booths. The Job Center also offers workshops including “A Click Away,” which focuses on the technology behind a job search; “Algoma Library Job Club” that touches upon new job opportunities, employment search techniques, challenges, and more; “Job Club” lets job seekers come together to discuss new job opportunities and different job search process strategies; “Marketing your Career Change” will include tips on retooling resumes, cover letters and other professional writing and networking; “Stress Management” provides the tools to help stay focused, organized and motivated during the job search process; “Orientation” offers help in your employment search while discussing topics like job search assistance, career planning, resume development, and school planning; and “You Can Be Successful” teaches attendees about the keys to developing a positive attitude.
