Katie Dahl in Concert at the Cookery

The nights are starting earlier and growing colder, but music lovers are encouraged to ward off the chill with a special evening of music with singer/songwriter Katie Dahl and bass/percussion player Rich Higdon on Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 pm at the Cookery in Fish Creek

The duo will present a wide selection of acoustic music, including traditional roots music and original songs from Dahl’s new CD, County Line.

Dahl is a familiar face on the Door County music scene, having performed with American Folklore Theatre and Door Shakespeare and shared stages with favorite local musicians such as Eric Lewis, Tommy Burroughs, and Karen Mal. In July, she released her debut CD, County Line, which has been described as “a folk-infused celebration of love and the American landscape.” Rich Higdon, who will accompany Dahl on washboard and upright and electric bass, is a longtime fixture on the Door County music scene and a member of the Sheboygan-based Water Street Hot Shots.

The concert will take place in the Cookery’s wine bar, and there is no cover charge for the event.
