“Kids’ First” Introduces Fiver-Person Elimination Scramble

In an event to benefit the Wisconsin PGA Foundation and to help continue to expand its Golf in Schools program, Horseshoe Bay Golf Club is hosting a unique five-person Elimination Scramble on Monday, June 27.

All five players will tee off on each hole. The best shot of the five will be selected by the team to play from. Whoever hit that shot will sit out the next shot, and the four remaining players will hit from that location. Play will continue in this fashion until the ball is holed.

In addition, there will be several modifications to the golf course. There will be six “phantom holes” (legitimate holes without a pin flag) located throughout the course, as well as six holes will have eight inch cups instead of standard.

Play begins with a shotgun start at 1 pm. The price of $100 per player ($500 per team) includes golf with cart, range balls prior, gift, dinner and prizes. Contact the proshop (920.868.3741) for sign-up and further information.
