Lauters to Speak about Tanzanian Trip at UUF

On Feb. 21 at 3 pm, Chuck and Estella Lauter will present a talk about their safari to Tanzania with Overseas Adventure Travel in November 2014. They were sufficiently enthusiastic about the trip and the country to create this program to share with others as well as to continue their research long after they returned.

The program will begin with a short DVD of the animals and landscape made by two talented photographers on their trip, and will follow with a presentation in two voices about the people, ideas and history they encountered in the many hours they spent with three African guides over 17 days. Tanzania’s history differs from that of most other African countries and the Lauters’ experience differs greatly from the accounts seen on the news.

The Lauters welcome both those who have no experience with Tanzania or safaris, as well as those who have made similar journeys. There will be plenty of time for discussion. Everyone is invited to attend and admission is free. A reception with refreshments will follow the presentation.

This performance is presented by the UUFDC 20th Anniversary Committee. They have planned at least one event each month as part of the Fellowship’s year-long celebration. The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim. For more information call 920.854.7559.
